For Crenshaw Design and Reginald Adams, the main forces behind the Toscani Collection, architectural design is much more than designing and building furniture, doors, mantles and floors. It's a specialized art and a family tradition.

For years, they have been considered some of the foremost authorities on old World Design. Their work is a combination of personal touches and state-of-the-art techniques.

The creative force behind the Toscani Collection are master colorists, having spent many years testing and inventing original finishing systems. Whether it's wood or plaster, their textures and depth of colors bring original Old World character into all their projects.

Their talent is recognized in Country French, Tuscan, Mediterranean, Tudor and Southwestern styles. They are versatile and always original. Their expressions can be found in the homes of celebrities including Sammy Davis Jr., Rich Little, Quincy Jones, and Rick Springfield. Their work can be seen in homes around Palm Springs, Carmel, Atherton, Monte Sereno, and Bel Aire.

"When we go into someone's home or look at the plans, we can almost immediately see what needs to be done," the Toscani designers explain. "We talk to the owners, get a feel for their taste and budget, give them direction based on our years of experience, then go to work putting charm and character into their home."

But the designers are quick to point out that architectural design is not really work, but rather their first love. "Every project is special. When we work with a client, we feel great joy as we make plans and when we see the finished project has made someone happy."

Giving a home a "face lift" is only part of their talents. Their consultation skills are sought by architects, interior designers, realtors, and individuals who want their new home built with traditional and authentic Old World charm. inside and out. Authentic details and one-of-a-kind floor designs of wood or brick, moldings, furniture, mantles and doors with hand-worked square pegs are stained to appear worn and weathered to look hundreds of years old, or stained to appear new for a more modern or eclectic look.

For more then 20 years, the designers at the Toscani Collection have shared their talents with people who expect quality and true craftsmanship. They see architectural design as a continuing process where the perfect look and feel are their main goal.

"We're constantly searching for new and better ways, for ideas and opportunities to hone the gifts given us."
